What do I need to do to my sprinklers for the wintertime?

All sprinkler systems in our region need to be "winterized" This is the processed of removing all water
from the system using a high powered commercial air compressor.

Why should I have you winterize my sprinklers for me, can't I just do it myself?

If you are under warranty you must have us professionally winterize your system. Failure to do so will
void your warranty. Even if you are not covered by a warranty it is wise to have a professional
complete this task for you. After all it is inexpensive and the repairs if it is not done correctly can be
costly.

Why should I have you turn on my sprinklers for me, can't I just do it myself?

While it may seem to be an easy task, it is easy to overlook small inefficiencies that will cause
damage to your landscape. Usually by the time the average homeowner picks up on the problem, its
too late. Our trained service technicians will check, clean and adjust your system right the first time.

How come my sprinklers are not coming on?

Check for power to the controller. If you have power, your rain sensor could be wet. In many cases a
sensor can stay wet up to a couple days after actual rainfall. Most of our systems have a bypass
either at the controller or at the sensor so you can manually override the system. If you still have a
problem please call us for an appointment.

Why are my sprinklers coming on in the rain?

Even though you may have a rain sensor, they are sometimes a bit temperamental. Most sensors are
set to shut off a system after 1/4" of rainfall. Please allow ample time for the sensor to work. If you still
have a problem please call us for an appointment.

Why does my system come on and runs for hours on end?

This normally is a mistake in programming the controller (usually too many start times are set) Please
refer to the manuals section of this site to find instructions for your controller. If you still have a
problem please call us for an appointment.

How can I adjust a sprinkler head?
